Hi, I'm rebuilding the car as a project. I finally got the car started, but it won't rev above 1500 rpm. MAF sensor is now clean, but I can't locate the throttle body. The Haynes manual doesn't mention it, so I'm a bit stuck. I had bought a full recon set x4 of injectors and the car was running sweet as a nut. I'm planning on selling my old injectors, i know 1 of them is faulty but Is there a link for correct forum covering injector issues. Mk4.5 2011 2.0 163 tdci injector no.3 puffing. Smoking leaking. Took it to an engine specialist in Teesside who I won,t mention but they removed no.3 injector. New seal. Replaced injector. Now the engine is tapping like a bag of spanners. Took it back. its easy to change, cant find a price atm but i think it was around 40-50 from ford. just unclip them from the injectors and the fuel rail and clip the new ones in. be careful with the little retaining clips they can easily be lost When the little valves in each injector operate, they de-pressurise a chamber in the injector, which then opens the pintle that seals off the injector nozzle. The fuel from this chamber goes to the leak-off pipes, so there should be a leak off flow while running, but not while cranking without injector pulses. .
